Oh, great! We use Trip Advisor a lot!

Quick! Somebody give me an alternative!

My husband and I have always had great fun using a real, tri folded paper map when plotting our route, and we even call hotels on the phone!

Most of them are happy to help you with sight seeing and all sorts of things...

Of course, this takes advance planning and a bit of effort, but I highly recommend this old fashioned type of travel planning.

Thanks for your advice. The husband has mad skills with maps —yours truly not so much — and he always consults maps beforehand when we go on a trip. And we have a Garmin.

For us, TripAdvisor has been invaluable for their user reviews of accommodations and local attractions.
