What homeschool curriculum did you use? Yes, I think that is a good idea to get a coloring book to set aside for your grandson. If I had a lot of extra time, I would try to develop a homeschool unit on President Trump and then make it available for others. Maybe it can be a summer project!
We used a combination of things over the years as I learned to refine and personalize. We did unit studies for the first few years (Five-in-a-Row, Learning Adventures), Horizons Math in the primary grades, some Alpha Omega and Switched-on Schoolhouse subjects, some Sonlight literature, VideoText Algebra and Geometry, Apologia sciences, Institute for Excellence in Writing... I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. We were blessed to have many homeschool co-op courses available to us as well.
Probably more than you wanted to know! Our three boys had different learning styles and we had some special needs to deal with too, so not everything worked for everybody.
