Nancy Pelosi, while the mikes were not working said to Schumer that they were waiting for the "real people" and asked him if the "real people" were there yet. At first I thought that the "real people" were DC insiders, but upon learning that one of the topics at the Dem retreat last week was "How to talk to real people", it may mean people negatively affected by the new immigration regulations that have a very sympathetic story. Dems are much better at finding such people and bringing them forward fast. Of course they get the publicity that a similar person negatively affected by a Dem agenda item never gets.

Will the media mock Pelosi for her use of the term. Doubtful. It's always but-that's-different for them.
