“The cost for that wall will temporarily be borne by Americans.” False. This is the fallacy called argumentum ad misericordiam and appeal to pity. “Don’t give me an F on my test; my dog just died.” “Don’t build a wall; guacamole will be too expensive.” The logical response is to say that Mexico will pay the wall and 20% inflation on Mexican products will force us to be thrifty and make our own guacamole.

Well, once the Wall finally gets built the Peso should devalue about 30%, so we’ll break even.
