Chris Matthews gave generally respectful treatment to pro-life activist Abby Johnson, who appeared on last nights Hardball in the context of discussing the March for Life. But Matthews challenged Johnson on the positiongenerally adopted by the pro-life movementthat the only person who should be punished is the doctor performing the abortion, and not the woman who chose to have one.
Said Matthews: If abortions a murder and the person who goes to an abortion clinic is given no sanctions, no punishment whatever, theres something that doesnt square there . . . if you believe its murder, you go after the person who went to the clinic to have the abortion. Or else you treat her like a child, a vulnerable person whos not really a grownup . . . Going after the doctor is a cute way of avoiding the question. If its murder, act on it. If its not, stop saying it.

I want people to beware that blanket statements do have exceptions.
You are absolutely correct
Probably not.
As one who has gone through it I’ll will agree to disagree.
You shouldn't. I doubt any legislation would include the death penalty for the mother. We have to wait and see if and when Roe is ever undone.
Unless you are a suicide driver. No drunk intends to run over anyone and negligence does not prove intent either, just negligence. Semantics the bane of justice.
You seem to have completely misunderstood what I wrote.I was taking off from what DilbertinSanDiego wrote. My question underscored the irony of enormous numbers of abortions performed in a timeframe when Roe V. Wade and availability of the Pill existed almost side by side in that same 70s decade. One would THINK the widespread use of various forms of contraception would greatly cut down on abortions—but it seems to have increased them—either that, or they have nothing to do with one another.
Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

Matthews distancing himself from the murder he’s facilitated.
One the thing that happened was sex education that encouraged this behavior. Body licking, mutual masterbation and we know this never leads to the inevitable intercourse. right? Complete safe though because they have the condom securely installed on the cucumber.
“They’re going to do it anyway...” was the dominant mindset in all those “efforts” at sex education, from authorized Prog Govt. Agents and Agencies that managed to worm their way into schools and whatever other venues their little victims could be found. They thereby fostered the idea of casual sex by presenting in a supposedly “friendly and matter of fact” context, with the banana and cuke demonstrations, and all “work materials” provided.Sex, not to mention love, and committment and marriage are best discovered the traditional way, WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE~
