Caroline Kennedy lost her Ambassador post in Japan when Trump took office. He sent her packing and hasn’t even bothered to name a replacement.
But according to the New York Post, she’s not done with public service. Kennedy is planning to run for the U.S. senate in 2018.
First, she’s going to be penning a memoir, but then she’ll be getting down to work. She plans to follow in the footsteps of her uncle Robert Kennedy, and run for a New York senate seat.
She plans to target the seat of Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand. Or she could run for Rep. Kristen Gillibrand’s House seat instead.
This is great news for progressives. Caroline Kennedy has the Kennedy name and recognition, but none of the baggage.

Kennedy has a net worth...Kennedy trust funds.
She has much of the popularity of Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton among Progressives, but no baggage. So securing campaign donations won’t be a problem.
But her aspirations don’t end there. According to an unnamed source, “Caroline had a successful ambassadorial run in Japan and feels really very confident about putting her hat in the ring for a New York congressional or Senate seat, with even possibly bigger political objectives down the road”
“Down the road” could include a run for president in 2020. She would be a strong candidate to run against the Republicans.

I hope you are wrong but I share your concerns.
The Dems would also try to get a lot of mileage out of all the losses CKS has had in her life, and they’d spin the opposition as heartless and unfeeling. She’s Jackie’s daughter as well as JFK’s so that connection would be emphasized as well.
It’s a scenario I hope will never have a chance to be played out.
Is this a typo? Gillibrand doesn't occupy both a House and a Senate seat.
The Kennedy and Clinton media mafias will get behind her, creating the needed myths about her as they did her relatives, and after 1992 as they did for the Clintons.

Do you think she is capable of having her poor extemporaneous speech habits trained out of her and become someone who can come across as intelligent and worth votes?
Yep. I can hear the chairs at the board room tables turning their backs on Hillary and facing Caroline now with all those big donors sitting in those chairs. Very frightening.
She might be a nice person, I don’t know, but she cannot formulate a complete sentence. She does not come off as very bright at all.

IIRC, Dems shuffled her off to Japan as ambassador because she gave a couple of speeches that were so goshawful they feared she might try to run for office.
I suspect that the Dems will soon find themselves experiencing higher than normal political fratricide, with lots of emotional and ideological ferment and more ambitious candidates than seats available.
She has serious low-I.Q. issues. Imagine someone coming out of such privilege and speaking like a sixth-grade valley girl. It will be entertaining if nothing else. When it comes to the Kennedys, I think the U.S. is so over them.

The article, which many posting didn't read, nor the header, state that it is KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND that Caro wants toi replace. Kirsten took over Hillary's Senate seat in '09 and I doubt that she's going to give it up for a stupid Kennedy "princess".
