Yeah. It’s the first thing I thought of. These guys had to make good money and the fact that they were doing Obama’s bidding shows that, generally speaking, they don’t have strong moral compasses that would cause them to give up a cushy government job because they don’t like the president.

Few people have that kind of character.

A short while ago CNN reported the departures were part of an effort by the Trump administration to clean house...

Letters of resignation for Presidential appointees are automatic. Those resignations are not always ACCEPTED by the new administration and sometimes they are asked to stay on permanently or at least until their replacements are confirmed by the Senate.

Trump accepted those resignations immediately because he’d rather clean house as soon as possible and let their deputies handle things in the interim.

I think he should do this everywhere, and then when the new heads are confirmed, he should move these interim career staffers to other duties so at least the top three levels of management have been replaced with his people. I hope checking election campaign contributions is one of the criteria for deciding who can remain in positions of any responsibility at all.
