what does that have to do with anything- a parent is a guardian- whether the child is still with the mother or not- You seem obsessed with the fact that Drew isn’t the biological father- Which has absolutely nothing to do with the article=- so not even sure why the obsession over it? Drew is caring for the child in the role of parent and father- a parent is:

Definition of parent

1 b : a person who brings up and cares for another

Parent:

2: a person acting as a father or mother; guardian

Father Definitions:

-——Foster father – child is raised by a man who is not the biological or adoptive father usually as part of a couple.

-——Mother’s partner – assumption that current partner fills father role

-——Social father – where a man takes de facto responsibility for a child,

Drew carey is actively acting as the child’s father- helping to raise him taking on the responsibility- While Drew isn’t the kid’s biological father- He fills both roles of parent and father-
