What’s with all the Drew Carey bashing on this thread? He’s one of the few in Hollywood who is pretty conservative...and not afraid who knows it. I remember that he took part in the inaugural festivities for George W. Bush, too.
As far as the kid goes, I don’t think Drew Carey would be the first person in the world to have his or her child do something stupid and mortifying. If even Ronald Reagan’s and Sarah Palin’s own kids have done some very embarrassing things, why is anyone on this thread getting upset about this idiotic 11-year-old who is apparently not even Drew Carey’s biological son? Sheesh.

Drew is NOT the father!
what does that have to do with anything- a parent is a guardian- whether the child is still with the mother or not- You seem obsessed with the fact that Drew isn’t the biological father- Which has absolutely nothing to do with the article=- so not even sure why the obsession over it? Drew is caring for the child in the role of parent and father- a parent is:

1 b : a person who brings up and cares for another
Parent:
2: a person acting as a father or mother; guardian
Father Definitions:

Drew carey is actively acting as the child’s father- helping to raise him taking on the responsibility- While Drew isn’t the kid’s biological father- He fills both roles of parent and father-
Not even sure what the quibbling about terms is- but legally- parent can and does mean a figure who cares for- even for a short time- in unmarried situations, as you will see at the end here-

Note the lesbians were not married- the one woman was the biological mother artificially inseminated of course- the courts ruled the non biological woman was still the child’s parent even though the two women had never been married-
