The kids should assume the nationality of the parents.This anchor baby,born on US soil makes you a citizen has to end.How many other counties have this policy?

I guess I look at it like this. If they are upset about being separated, they can all go back to Spain.

IIRC, the kids have a right to claim Spanish citizenship as the children of a Spanish citizen, and there is no time limit on making the choice.
