You tell me how many "lost jobs" that allegedly represents.

In 2016 the U.S. had a $319 billion trade deficit with China -- with $104 billion of U.S. exports to China and $423 billion of imports from China.

In 1985 the trade between the two countries was almost exactly balanced -- about $3.9 billion in imports and exports both ways.

Were we better off in 1985 or in 2016?

Let's say the labor to create $367Billon(US trade deficit with China) worth of product is 6%. 6% of $357B is $22B. Let's say the average salary in the USA is $40,000. So $22B/40K = 550,000 jobs. 1/2 million jobs lost from China alone.
