From the start of his short, truculent and unabashedly populist inaugural address, President Trump called out the Washington establishment: For too long, a small group in our nations capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left, and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.
He painted a dystopian picture of the United States and promised: This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

“Know thy enemy” but don’t obsess over thy enemy and don’t focus on thy enemy. Thy enemy can get you basically in two ways - 1) by getting you to be ignorant of his devices and/or 2) by getting you to be overly attentive to what he is doing.
We should be mostly publishing the truth on FR, not the lies. We should find reliable sources that have already deconstructed the lie and replaced it with the truth and with a headline that says the truth. We need much more of that on FR IMO. The key is the headline and the first few sentences because not everyone has time to drill down. The endless stream of negative, lying headlines sabotages our purpose IMO.
As I said, some posts of certain certain published lies can help in ferreting out the truth and can be very helpful. But the almost mindless stream of endless Leftist medias published lies posted on FR often has no redeeming value, gets everyone all pissed off and demoralized, and seems sometimes to even strengthen the lie.
If you’re told a lie, don’t repeat it. Neutralize the lie by speaking the truth. Lies aren’t defeated by repeating the lie. Lies are defeated by repeating the truth. We should have our eyes on the prize - in this case, politically, what it takes to recover our Free Constitutional Republic. That should be what we major on and focus on.
To be honest, part of the problem IMO is many know what they’re against but have difficulty clarifying for themselves what they are for. That may be one reason they continually want to publish and then bash the Leftist lies rather than mostly publish the truth that will actually defeat the lies.
Where the hell have these fact-checking critics been hiding for the last 8 years?
OBAMA PROMISES:
“Hope N’ Change” wasn’t a con?
“Shovel Ready Jobs” wasn’t a con?
“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” wasn’t a con?
“If you like your healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan” wasn’t a con?
“My plan will cut the cost of a typical family’s premium by up to $2,500 a year.” wasn’t a con?
“I am pledging to cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term in office.” wasn’t a con?
Obama’s repeated assertion that a video caused the Benghazi attacks and deaths of 4 Americans wasn’t a con?
She is the editor of The Nation, this country’s oldest magazine devoted to the ideas of Karl Marx. which have led to more untimely deaths, so much more bloodshed, hunger and poverty than any others during the past century and up until these times.
How much moneu has George soros invested in the Washington Post? Says a lot of what their “news reporters” are required to ask and write. I’ve read he’s invested in every mass media organization in America.
Wonder what this rich leftist botch would think if a group of angry poor whites (like coal miners from Appalachia who lost their jobs because of leftist government decrees; my sister-in-law is from that area and she has told me stories of the poverty there) were to show up on her doorstep?
The Washington Compost and Katrina Vanden Heuval in the same sentence?
Just one of them is enough to keep me from reading any further.
“But when he wants to send a message requiring more than 140 characters, he should use FR.”
Loud applause.
By Katrina vanden Heuvel:
...For too long, a small group in our nations capital ...”
“... His inauguration sparked some of the largest womens demonstrations ever in the nations capital ...”
Busted.
Fake Spelling and Editing.
Katrina, The Washington Post, her editor(s), and her website supervisor(s) need to take a remedial course in spelling Capitol.
Not once, but twice.
I guess she doesn’t know Mr. D. Gray
Hi
Yikes. Wouldn’t put it past her.
Could you give me a source for that?
Googling turned up nothing. Could be the story
got scrubbed.
But nobodies going to buy it unless we can cite a
printed source.
Thanks
We should listen to what this person has to say because she correctly predicted Trump would win the nomination and then the election.
No, of course she didn’t.
Wow, the author should apply for a job at Pravda.

He is going to use Skype.
Ok. That’s one thing I have never done.
The anti-Trump Meme is fueled on Speculation of all the bad things he MIGHT do. When he doesn’t do them—or does things that help the nation—they will be out of gas. The now beats anything he may have said or implied back in the day. Actions speak louder than words—even if they are seen in a negative light. To be better that Obama will not be hard.
I don’t know what’s worse: the image or the eye bleach!
