I would go for 20s and no SS/Medicaire and NO citizenship, but that’s not a YUGE different between you and I.

She was a housewife so no SS or Medicare, right?
Plus we can’t play ethnic bias. There’s a LOT OF IRISH in NY who are illegal. Entire areas.
They gotta go. They are more recent.
However, I would love to see certain European countries put back at the TOP of the immigration list.
I could see something along the lines you’re talking, but ONLY for those brought here as minors. Even this would have some restrictions:
- No option for citizenship EVER (and with it, no suffrage), even if they would choose to return to their home country for a time.
- No ability to pass this legal status to others (i.e. Their illegal immigrant parents could still be deported).
- Commission of a felony at any future time is grounds for automatic deportation.
- Only applies to those currently here (i.e. Stop bringing/sending your kids, because we will deport them).
