Why is it so important to these idiots how large the crowd size was? Crowd numbers have always been manipulated by the media to show conservative events having a low attendance when in face they are very large in numbers.
And even so, it stands to reason liberals are more inclined to attend such things. Government is their God. We conservatives see it more as a necessary evil.
it’s called having an issue with media censoring the news, as in 1984. that’s a problem that some among us are not prepared to tolerate, thank God. most of us just accept it.
Press secretary Sean Spicer was calling out the media manipulation and lies. The media showed early pictures before the main activity, before crowds arrived, and tried to pass it off as later pictures. Also, the event in 2009 and 2013 did not have all the security barricades evident in 2017, which allowed the general populace to flow in from all sides. The 2017 event was more restrictive in keeping anti-Trump activists from disrupting the event, so the barricades and security somewhat restricted the flow of people and that's why early pictures were more empty. Later pictures showed a larger crowd in place for the event. The media purposely manipulated information to be in a negative light. The anger by Spicer is not over the numbers, it's about the lies of the media.
Yep. I remember going to the Pro-2A counter protest in DC in the late-1990s. The so-called “Million Mom March” had maybe 75,000 losers sprinkled throughout the mall. I saw the crowds for Promise Keepers, that was a million +. The million morons had almost nothing. Easy way to tell? How delayed was the Metro, how hard was it to get through L’Enfant Plaza and Metro Center? For the moms, no delays, cars were fuller than on a normal workday but not terrible. For the Promise Keepers, you literally couldn’t move in the city for most of the day.
But the moms on the train were crowing about how they had gotten over a million people to march for gun control. And the press grossly over reported and dialed in on the concentrations at low angle to magnify the crowd.
It is to reinforce their “popular vote” meme.
If they portray the inauguration as poorly attended [which they clearly wanted it to be, hence the need for anarchist violence and assorted threats of rioting to try to repel visitors]...then they can imply to their base that Trump voters were nonexistant and his votes must have come from the Russians.
Why did they use a picture taken an hour before it started? Would anyone be surprised if they enhanced the Obama crowds?
I wish Trump would have worn a smaller crowd size as a badge of honor.
“This is D.C. where the swamp dwellers live. I am going to drain the swamp. 92% of D.C. residents voted against the American people taking back control of the government. Out in REAL America, where REAL Americans live, the viewership on TV and streaming over the internet was larger than any past inauguration. That is the audience that matters!”
