Surprised you feel that way. I thought it was one of the best and most appropriate looks she has ever worn as FLOTUS. The outfit was dignified and minimized her figure flaws and the color was wonderful on her, and also for the occasion.
Even my pastor said it made her look dowdy and emphasized her backside. Both he and his wife agreed it was not a flattery design for her (they seldom agree on anything)
The color was good for her
I liked the cut-better than a lot I’ve seen on her-but I didn’t care much for the color. If she had jazzed it up with some accessories, and did something different with her hair (could have still had an updo) it would have been much better.
But the actual style of the dress was classic.
