—just protecting law abiding motorists from being held responsible for one of those unfortunate consequences of an idiot standing on an interstate road in a state where cars can go posted speed of 75 mph...
Very hard to stop rounding a bend when going at least 70 mph! Actually, I had to do just that in Indiana...accident had just happened—no flashing lights; and by grace of God, I did not get smashed between a stopped truck and an on-coming truck. Scariest road experience I have ever had!
