If members of the House and Senate are ever required to pass a real IQ test and rigorous knowledge of the Constitution, we would never again need to worry about non entities like John Lewis.

Politico has chronicled the pearl clutching concern by the inside the beltway types over Trump's tweets. It seems Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter is causing a crisis among mediots, politicians and lobbyists, who just don't know how to handle it as reflected in the article title, Trump’s Twitter feed traumatizes Washington.
Lewis, the Gold Star parents, and the disabled journo were and are, ‘tar babies’. They present easy targets but once hit they hold the missile fast due to their status and/or past. Additional strikes cause further entrapment. The solution is to ignore them or employ surrogates. My personal preference is to let stupid stand in the corner.

And the whole “civil rights icon” thing. Who cares? That was then and this is now. He can’t dine out until the end of time just because he was a criminal dissident in the ‘60s. The black community needs to ask him, “What have you done for us lately?”
