Sorry to hear this. Our cable man was here at our house yesterday for over three hours. He even had to call in another guy for help. They had to replace our outside cable lines because squirrels had completely chewed through one of the main lines. He also had to put new line coming from the pole box. He later told us it would have cost us close to a hundred dollars but since the guy last week didn't do the job and it left my husband without so many channels for several days he replaced all the wire for free. I on the other hand went straight to ACE and bought lots of moth balls and placed them all around our house.*********

It wasn't an act of kindness they didn't charge us...embarrassed to say we pay over 2 hundred dollars a month for cable services including phone and internet. (And repair insurance) I refuse to say how many boxes are in our house. But, the neighbor next door has one more TV than us. My husband had to tell me this. LOL

Several years ago we had that happen with our electric underground wire. We had to borrow a detector from our supplier to find the fray. Our house is 300 feet from the road. It took a while to find the problem.

Moth balls is a great idea.
