I thought the CIA was filled with fools, but MI6 seem no different in its inability to detect spies and weed out idiots
Indeed. This is proof that “friendly nation” spying is no friendly at all. It is vicious contempt and colonization. These people should be executed as spies no matter where they are from.
If they had launched this in October, when people were paying more attention, it would have seriously backfired. That would have sealed the election in Trump’s favor pretty tight. This report is so outrageous, and people would have been really disgusted.
The document is clearly a fraud. It has as many holes in it as the Burkett documents. Only idiots such as Dan Rather and John McCain couldan’t see that.
They’ll just come up with something else. They should just be ignored while we work on fixing the country.
In 2010 it was bought by and is still owned by the Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev. It is Left of center in its politics.
This is the left’s version of the birther issue re Obama and a complete fabrication out of whole cloth. They will never be successful in making it stick but they’ll do their everything they can to make it stick around.
...and we saved them twice and won, too.
You’d think they’d be more grateful.
Not ‘the Brits’ (ie the British Government). Steele left government service 9 years ago. No evidence whatever that the British Government or MI6 was involved in this.
"By late July and early August MI6 was also receiving information about Mr Trump. By September, information to the FBI began to grow in volume: Mr Steele compiled a set of his memos into one document and passed it to his contacts at the FBI."
Steele was employed first by anti-Trump Republicans then by the Clinton camp. He may even have hustled a fee from the Russians, the Brits and the CIA. Considering the quality of his work, his clients probably want their money back. If this guy isn't a flimflam artist he wouldn't be hiding under a rock right now.
