I’m not taking issue with Israel’s action, but I wanted to clarify something for those reading along. I’m not a Jewish expert, but the statement that you quoted (”If someone is coming to kill you, rise against him and kill him first.”) is not in the Torah. It is in the Talmud. (That makes a big difference to the Christian.) It is also not based upon the Talmud’s view of Deuteronomy 22:26. It is based upon a passage early in the 22nd chapter of Exodus. It (the statement from the Talmud) is not part of the Jewish Torah, neither is it part of the Christian Bible.

>>> I should have included the source I quoted from, here it is: http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3220/jewish/The-Jews-Double-Standard.htm

>>> The Torah consists of the Written Torah and the Oral Torah.

It is also not based upon the Talmud’s view of Deuteronomy 22:26

>>> Here is the referenced verse: http://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/9986/jewish/Chapter-22.htm#v=26&showrashi=true

>>> Read Rashi (the colored box) which includes additional references.

It (the statement from the Talmud) is not part of the Jewish Torah, neither is it part of the Christian Bible.

>>> Partially correct.

Mr. M.J.B. is correct, which is why Israel not only took out Iraq’s nuclear capability, but also Syria’s and Iran’s.

And it wasn’t just for Israel’s benefit either — it was for the benefit of the whole world.

MJB is correct .
A country must protect it’s citizens.

Israel does not carry out these night raid for no reason .
When they do this it is because they have found where they are stories weapons that can kill thousands instantly .
They have gases hidden all over the place .

It is absolutely biblical to take out those weapons and whomever is planning and mad men guarding them . Those gases are being used in Syria and the news is silent . Israel can not the chance of them being used across their borders . It is biblical to kill them before they mass murder their people .

It is not as simple as a commandment that says thou shall kill. First it is not kill , that is a bad translation of the Hebrew . It should be thou shalt not murder .

Go back and read the stories in the bible and you will see over and over how God told the Israelites to wipe out certain population and it was to protect them from the murderous activity of those populations. God is no fan of serial murders , we are not talking someone who in a fit of rage kills someone ... we are talking populations that all they do is plot murder and destruction. It is totally biblical and MJB is correct on this .
