President-elect Donald Trump, after growing suspicious that intelligence officials were leaking news about their classified briefings with him, says he conducted a sting operation to try to prove top spies were behind the leaks.
Trump revealed the extraordinary scheme to try to entrap the senior spies in a furious press conference where he suggested the intelligence community had been behind salacious and totally unproven allegations against him.
‘I think it’s pretty sad when intelligence reports get leaked out to the press. First of all, it’s illegal. These are classified and certified meetings and reports,’ Trump said during a press conference at Trump Tower – his first since getting elected.
Then he revealed the details of the stealthy sting he says he conducted on the nation’s senior spooks.
‘I’ll tell you what does happen. I have many meetings with intelligence. And every time I meet, people are reading about it,' Trump complained, possibly referencing reports on his classified briefings, which he has chosen not to receive daily. This was awesome when he told this story. Trump is going to hold these people accountable.
The most significant problem with our "news" services is that they won't cover any story which is damaging to them or Liberal policies. There needs to be a means of forcing those people who use the public airwaves to cover information they don't want to cover, because the people's "right to know" includes a right to know about them and their political allies.

I really hope Trump did bait them and catch them with a trick. I've read about this tactic used by governments to catch leakers. Basically they plant different false stories with a series of individuals, and whichever false stories get leaked, thereby identifies the leaker.
If true, Bravo Mr. Trump. Bravo.

As I am reading this, all I see that is being leaked is the fact that DJT received an intelligence briefing. That is not in itself, classified. Am I missing something?

The content dossier of the brief was leaked, even though that particular content was not presented to Trump.

As far as I can tell, the Daily Mail is the ONLY media outlet reporting this tidbit from President Trump’s presser today!
