I guess while McCain was wasting away in Vietnam Hilton, his mind had to fantasize to forget his real situation.
Trouble is he fantasized too much and his mind went astray. Since that time he has fits of grandeur believing he was a true hero in Vietnam — even though all he did was get shot down and lose his mind in a prison.
