Precisely. This is the type of stuff found in the infamous FBI background files that mysteriously made their way to the Clinton White House after the 1992 election. Unsubstantiated material, from sources that were never properly vetted. About what you’d expect as op research info, but if the intel chiefs actually “offered” this stuff to Trump as an example of disinformation or a potential blackmail file, they should be fired immediately.
Sincerely hope Trump has legal remedies for this. BuzzFeed needs to join Gawker on the ash heap of media history. As for the intel folks, Clapper has already submitted his resignation; Trump needs to fire Comey and Brennan on inauguration day. Brennan’s heading out the door as well, but he needs to officially terminated as a little asterisk on his career.
