There was a time when I wasn’t negative regarding him. The nomination process opened my eyes. I began to take note of his comments and thinking due to him being more visible nationally.

I’m not sure I ever thought he showed promise, but I sure agree with you at this point.

Rubio was a con man who rode the Tea Party wave to office. He mouthed tea party slogans to get himself elected, and once in office showed his true colors as a younger version of McCain and Graham. Apart from his role in the Gang of 8 and his attacks on Trump, what I despise most about him is that he thinks that he's too good for the Senate and is somehow destined for greater things (without doing anything to earn them).

Another con-artist who played the same bait and switch game was Nikki Haley in SC. I was originally disappointed when Trump picked her as ambassador to the UN, but it's a position of little importance and she'll do less harm there than she would as Governor of SC.
