Ted Cruz reintroduces bill designating Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization

On Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, announced that he has reintroduced two bills, alongside Congressman Michael McCaul R-Texas, and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Florida, to protect Americans from radical Islamic terrorism. One measure targets the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the other takes aim at the Muslim Brotherhood.

“I am proud to reintroduce these bills that would codify needed reforms in America’s war against radical Islamic terrorism,” he said. “This potent threat to our civilization has intensified under the Obama administration due to the willful blindness of politically-correct policies that hamper our safety and security. A grand détente with the Muslim Brotherhood and a blind eye to the IRGC are not pathways to peace in this struggle; they guarantee the ultimate success of our enemy. It is time to call this enemy by its name and speak with clarity and moral authority.”

According to Cruz’s statement:

The U.S. has officially listed individual members, branches, and charities of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists, such as Hamas, al Qaeda, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, but has not designated the organization as a whole. The intent of the Brotherhood is stated within its Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America; “The process of settlement is a Civilization-Jihad process…The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”

I can understand the reasoning behind that comments.

If I didn’t see Ted for who he really is, I could move on.

Ted who is seen as so timely and erudite today, couldn’t think of one thing to say positively about Trump or one thing negative to say about Clinton for months at a time.

So here he is now, proving what a smart guy he is.

If he is as smart as he thinks he is, then he consciously took a pass on trying to defeat Hillary Clinton by supporting Trump.

And no, a couple of days of refusing to say the name Trump, and act like he was finally on board cut it for me.

Was there one day during that period when you didn’t praise our team and trash Clinton? I doubt it.

So....If Trump turns this boat around and truly makes this country great again in every direction, would you would not support the mans son of he decided to run?

And no, I would be no more likely to support Trump, Jr. than I would be to support Reagan, Jr.

Unlike some folks around here, I don't worship the ground Trump walks on and I'm definitely not "aboard the Trump Train" ... or anybody else's train, for that matter. I don't do dynasties, and I don't do bandwagon politics.

As for Trump: I voted for him because he's right more than he's wrong (and Hildebeeste is always wrong). Now that he's elected, I'll support him when he's right, oppose him when he's wrong, and let the chips fall where they may. I have a brain, and will continue to use it. Some folks seem to have abandoned the use of their brains (if indeed they have any).
