Usually, I can figure out how many we have in my head by first thinking of how many shotguns we have, then rifles, then handguns, and then air rifles. Sometimes it helps to think of how many are stored in different locations, or the ones which were presents to my wife on Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Christmas, or her Birthday. It is most difficult to remember the guns where we have two, three, four or more of the same type.
So yes it can be tough, but if I were called by some phone survey person I would deny having any guns. But the guns we own are fun to own, fun to shoot, fun to maintain, and fun to take apart and put back together. A lot of them have a great deal of historical significance. How can you not love the thought that went in to the designs and the manufacturing process?
Based on my number if wi-to devices I have, on average at least 6-7 guns for the average gun owner I would imagine.
