new photo published by National Geographic magazine Monday shows President Barack Obama enjoying the sights of a reef while snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean.
National Geographic tweeted the photo of Obama snorkeling, writing, "This never-before-seen shot of @POTUS snorkeling shows him at ease in the sea he helped protect last year."

Brian Skerry ( the photographer for this photo) is an underwater photojournalist who works primarily for National Geographic magazine.
So I wonder, how much did this photo cost taxpayers?
Did that coral die as he swam over it - or is it just shrinking down in the sand to get away?

I would love to see the photos of him standing in the water before and after that pic was taken.(Wonder how much coral he destroyed by standing on it?)
I can only imagine what it felt like trying to snorkel in 3 or 4 feet of water. I’m guess it was like trying to swim in a baby pool. Hilarious....
