I have family and life-long friends out there where she is now. They have been there making a good living all these years. They have not be very much over taken by the thinking, but it is pervasive.
I could not live there. The smug self-centered nature of the majority of the people, the wasteful spending, the pretentious life style and the anti-American attitude is poisonous.
I have loved visits and even enjoyed the comedy relief of the exposure to the culture, but it is a cancer on the body politic.

Editing is not my strong point. I should have typed, "been."

“the pretentious life style and the anti-American attitude is poisonous.”
And yet they think and say that theirs is the patriotic agenda.
