“the debilitating effects of social justice programming, its mythology, its political correctness, its necessary coercion, dishonesty, and error — at last has ended.”

Unfortunately, the “end” is only temporary. Like the 17 year locusts, they will return with the aid of a new generation of “progressives” (or whatever name they decide to use for their revival) taught by the corrupt “education” system that has been built in the last 100 years.

Witness Ronald Reagan. He was elected only after the destruction wrought by the insipid Jimmah Carter. And while his effect on the country was great and he steered the ship towards the “bright shining city on the hill”, it only took George H. W. Bush 4 years to idle the engines of that ship. The result was the election of Bill Clinton, George Junior and BHO.

In spite of a short period of light when Newt Gingrich lead a revolt by a Republican congress during the Clinton debacle, there was a steady progress(?) to where we are today.

While I would hope that President Trump can lead us to the strength that we once had, I fear that the “progressives” with the aid of numerous RINO’s (I repeat myself) will continue the drumbeat against any change and will bide their time until such time that they can again control our fate.

Remember the mantra of the socialists: “Two steps forward, one step back”.

‘...could have survived the vast entitlement plantations built by the Democratic Party for a thousand years of statist rule.’

No disagreement but wont they also wonder where the opposition was? I do...the GOP failed miserably. They mostly gave Barry a blank check and ran at the first sign of conflict. The problem is rooted in an asleep electorate willing to enable a political elite who felt no interested in serving anyone but themselves.
