Cecil B. DeMille Award recipient Meryl Streep used her speech at the Golden Globes to rip President-elect Donald Trump. Streep addressed "foreigners" in Hollywood, bullying and Trump mocking a disabled reporter in her very political address to the room full of actors.

Lapdog media and much of Hollywood are well aware the size of Trump's supportive base, but will go kicking and screaming to their graves attempting to defame him (and us) no matter Trump's already great achievements prior to even being inaugerated (bringing and keeping jobs in America). They are hard core haters. Attempting to communicate facts and truth to lapdog media and Hollywood leftists is pointless. They are part and parcel of the swamp that needs draining.

Thanks for posting this. I was switching channels and saw they were going to do a tribute to Streep. I’ve always thought her to be a fantastic actress in the movies I’ve seen, whether comedic or drama.

When she went into that slam on Trump and said the media should report (my interpretation)>> on anything he does or says that doesn’t coincide with the liberal Hollywood views.

I still think she has been a good actress, but I’ll never view another of her movies or TV appearances.

I feel the same about any other performer who uses an awards program to make personal political statements. F ‘em!

She owns an estate in Connecticut, mansions in California, a Manhattan penthouse apartment, a private jet, and a bank account larger than some African nation's military budget.

She doesn't have to worry about losing her health insurance, having her job outsourced to people with H-1 visas or who are here illegally, or going into debt to get her kids or grand kids through college. She doesn't have to worry about how to pay for her property taxes or how to pay that huge car repair bill so that she can get to work.

Highlight of the Golden Globes for me was Carrie Underwood’s cool dress.

Turned off the last hour to watch Elementary, so missed Meryl’s screech.

Hollywood studios have been losing money big time for many years domestically. They primarily rely on overseas sales to make any profit. Also, a great deal of production has been moved to Canada and elsewhere other than the Los Angeles area because California is so hostile to all kinds of businesses, including its most famous business.

Interesting you would say that because many of the films movies that make a lot of money overseas aren't overtly political: action movies (especially in recent years based on comic books) and animated movies. Just about all of those overly political "message" movies up for awards consideration often don't have a potential market outside the USA.

But like I said earlier, the vast majority of movies and TV shows in production or "greenlighted" for production within the last 18-24 months were done with the assumption that Hillary Clinton would be President. Hillary's loss is going to cause a lot of production headaches, to say the least--hence the reason why I wonder will Warner Brothers have to reshoot several sequences from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie to reflect the new political climate, a change that could result in a delay of the film from June to late November 2017....

I really think our Hollywood celebrities really need to take some time off from doing movies and TV shows and just go on a driving vacation across the USA to see the real people of this country--in effect, take a road trip across "flyover country." THEN they'll realize why Donald John Trump, not Hillary Rodham Clinton, is the 45th President of the USA.

Meryl Streep was a graduate of the very elite Bernards High School in Somerset Country, NJ, and also attended (and graduated from) both Vassar and Yale, some of the most elite colleges in the USA.

The problem with Streep is that she lives in a world so disconnected from the average American she doesn't clearly understand the struggles of the average American, either. That's why people couldn't relate to Hillary Clinton--her "arrogant, sneering elitism" (as Paul Joseph Watson clearly describes her) made her unlikable to too many voters.
