ABC Enrages NFL Viewers With Anti-Trump ‘Black-ish’ Promo

The liberal ABC-Disney Television Network generated outrage during its televised coverage of the Houston Texans’ victory over the Oakland Raiders Saturday night in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs, but it had nothing to do with the football.

Instead many viewers were annoyed at a promo for next Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s sitcom Black-ish, which features a predominantly African-American cast being decidedly anti-Trump in tone and nature.

In the promo, which bills the episode as the “election through the eyes of Black-ish”, Lucy (a white character played by Christine Reitman) tells her predominantly African-American co-workers: “I voted for Trump!” before adding the clichéd justification, “I’m a racist? I have black friends!”

In another scene, her colleague Daphne (Wanda Sykes) appears to kick out at her for merely expressing that she had chosen to cast her vote for the Republican Party.

Meanwhile the show’s protagonists Dre and Rainbow Johnson are seen looking crestfallen at the outcome of the election while in another scene Rainbow shouts “Go Hillary!”

The promo announcer goes on to promise: “Oh they’ll be tweeting about this one!”

People already are tweeting about the episode before it’s being aired but it’s not what ABC– owned by Disney– wants to read. Football fans are objecting to Trump voters being ridiculed in such a tiresome and predictable fashion.

“Why does the NFL keep playing an anti-Trump commercial for the terrible show Blackish?” wrote one tweeter. “They must not know their audience”. Another viewer fumed: “I am offended at the preview for the show #blackish about voting for Trump makes you a racist!”

Matt Falk tweeted: “No one watch #blackish. Not everyone who voted for Trump is a racist, That show caters to the lowest common denominator” while Steve James declared on the online social networking service:

Hate to say it but watching TCM at times is fully enjoyable. Interesting that the actors had to act not be digitally enhanced. NFL is dead. So yesterday.

I didn’t see the promo, thankfully, but I doubt that the NFL had anything to do with it.

The “Blackish” promo was on ABC, as was the Texans - Raiders game, so it was probably just ABC promoting one of their crappy TV shows to a captive TV audience who wanted to see a football game.

CBS and NBC do the same thing; promoting their prime-time TV series during sporting events.

I think he was honest about his career-ending "banana cream" quip.

One of my most prized possessions was a Captain Video plastic glow-in-the-dark belt with a circular cryptography wheel (simple transposition) embedded in back of the rocket-ship buckle.

I have deliberately obliterated almost all memories of a wretched childhood.

Watched part of the Steelers/Dolphins playoff game today and checked out after about two quarters. Here is some things my twenty-something son observed as he was spending time with me watching the game:

1) Over half the stadium was empty during the game. I told him Steelers fans are as tough as nails and the cold weather was not the reason the stadium was half empty and the NFL has a real problem on their hands as far as live participation.

2) He said the game was essentially a few minutes of football sandwiched in between never ending food commercials and he now understood why no one his age watches a game on TV and only looks at the highlights. I told him the NFL was killing the game flow with endless commercials and it made watching it live unbearable in the stands or on TV. The Packers/Giants game was better at not doing this after every kick but man the NFL better get this figured out ASAP.

3) He finally said the NFL is dead with his generation as they have far better things to do than suffer through what I made him watch. I could only share with him that even though the athletes and technology were far better today, the old 70s and 80s NFL had better teams and games to watch.

Yeah, the comedians started doing the reverse black racist thing against whites in their schtick and the crowd laughed so they started doing it on sit-coms which I stopped watching when Cheers finished or was it MASH. One of the two. It’s been so long.

Nowadays I make sure to watch all tv through different avenues so I don’t have to watch commercials or bad tv for even one second and no money from me goes into their pockets. It’s all the power I have so I use it.

The left just keeps getting more and more psychotic as the days and weeks wear on. I expect their heads to pop any minute now.

Did Wana Sykes tape Lucy's (the white character) mouth closed and beat her - then make her drink from the toilet while yelling 'f... Trump?

Hollywood's hatred is spreading... evil little sh*ts...
