he wouldn't be announcing what would have been his 12th inaugural parade. If he has been doing this for 60 years, this should be number 15 or 16. Did somebody hold an inauguration and forget to tell him?

I thought the same thing. The math doesn't work out in the article. If he's been doing the parades since 1957, this would be his 16th Inauguration, not his 12th.
Another example of the mainstream media not even fact checking their own articles. They are so quick to get a hit piece out on Trump, no matter how mundane. Next we'll be hearing about some blind White House gardener being made to retire.

There's no inauguration when a sitting president wins reelection, so 12 sounds about right.
