It is appalling. The fact that he was not put to death in short order after the trial should have been a wake up call that society was not heading in a good direction.

I've got a good friend who knew someone who worked on that case. There was a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the pages of Hester Skelter.
Bugliosi and his team prosecuted the hell out of Manson and his followers. There SHOULD have been death penalties across the board.
