“Four ordered held without bail in attack on live Facebook video”

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/

A Cook County judge ordered no bail on Friday for four people accused of broadcasting a live Facebook video of their alleged attack on a mentally disabled teen. “I’m looking at each of you and wondering where was the sense of decency that each of you should have had?” said Judge Maria Kuriakos

Sounds like the Judge “gets it”.

I don't think the judge "gets it" at all. She's not the judge in a criminal case or a sentencing hearing. She's in a bail hearing, where the guilt or innocence of the suspects has yet to be determined.

In fact, I'm wondering if she's actually tainted the case against them by making statements that could easily be seen as prejudicial.
