Police have responded to a shooting inside Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport Friday afternoon.
Details have not been confirmed by police, but early reports indicate as many as seven people were shot. Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, who was traveling from the airport, tweeted out following the incident:

And if it was an Islamic attack, someone could possibly get him ammo in Minneapolis. Sounds possible but probably remote of that happening. We will see. If that is what happened, you called it.

I beehive most airports are that way. Usually ticket counters and baggage claim are pre-TSA. At my local airport you can go between ticket counters and baggage claim without passing thru security, however baggage in on a lower level.

At least at baggage claim you can move in almost any direction to get away. I’ve always thought the TSA checkpoints with all the ropes and people waiting for dozens of flights was more dangerous.
