Longtime Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, who currently serves as a co-host of America's Newsroom, will host a new show in the 7 pm ET hour. The First 100 Days will focus on covering the new Trump administration. President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn into office on January 20 in Washington D.C.

Kind of ironic that Greta’s temporary replacement (Brent Hume) spent more time in her slot than her permanent replacement (Tucker Carlson)...

She’s ok, but they could have easily done better with in-house talent. Guilfoyle comes to mind for one.

I never got the impression that Hemmer was anti Trump. He seems pretty fair to me. Martha,on the other hand, appeared to be anti Trump but I wouldn’t consider her a liberal.

Too liberal.

Spends way too much time in Stephen Colbert’s kitchen, literally!

Their families are best buds.

An uninspiring, neutral choice. Will do okay, but won’t help carry the Fox evening lineup to new highs as Tucker will, and a better choice for the 7:00 pm spot might have.

Heard Greta will have a show during the same hour on MSNBC. She might do well if she doesn’t go full moonbat over at moonbat central.

“From the name of the show it is a temporary gig.”

So was The Five. I think they’re doing this for three reasons:

1) They need to fill Tucker Carlson’s time slot while he prepares to take over Megyn Kelly’s.

2) They want a program that feeds FoxNews fans’ desire for Trump info in the big 100 days.

3) They want to give Martha MacCallum a shot. If her program does well, it will turn into a regular program with a new name.

MacCallum has been given the job on a trial-run basis; if the ratings hold, she’ll get the slot permanently. If not, look for Kimberly Guilfoyle, Jeanine Pirro or even Shannon Bream to get a shot.

Fox has a deep bench. Eventually, one of them will compete with Megyn Kelly, who will be demoted to MSNBC after her daytime talk show and Sunday magazine flop.

Finger in the wind for Hemmer....IOW, everyone was 96% sure that Clinton would win. Hemmer responded accordingly.

Brit Hume, not Brent.

Brit said right from the beginning when he took the show over he would only be there until the election and then go back to his retirement

Snickering,

That’s not Martha, that’s Carrie Keegan during one of her Redeye appearances.

Here is the video in all its HD glory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTlsRI21fsM

MacCallum is smart, very well poised, and beautiful. Her smile is a great way to start the evening and her manner is very professional with a soft touch.

She is what Megan Kelley should have been more of.

Bye, bye Megan. Welcome, Martha.

Yup. FNC screwed the pooch with their choice of MacCallum.
If she starts her anti-Trump schtick she’ll suffer the same ratings drop as MEgyn.

Trish Regan would have been a better choice. Both on substance and looks!!!
