2017 starts off with a BANG! as FOX NEWS executives will announce Tucker Carlson replaces the vacating Megyn Kelly at 9 PM ET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The dramatic move caps Carlson's rapid rise at the nation's top-rated cable channel.

Hannity got booted then Kelly. Tucker will be gone if he becomes a fence sitter like the last two.

But he does it so politely that it delivers twice the punch.
I don’t know if his shtick will grow tired and he gets part of his advantage by having on those not used to the media spotlight, but he’s certainly paid his dues and won his audience ratings. I am so glad to not see a closet Manhattan lefty like Kelly get the slot.

I wasn’t paying close attention to Varney, but I think he just said something about it being “Martha”. I assume he means Martha McCallum, and I cannot think of a more “safe” choice to lead in to O’Reilly. Maybe it was just her turn.
SO thankful that it is NOT a wannabe Megyn. I am sensing that manliness is back in style in this world. Trump effect!
I’ll be danged! I was certain Fox would go with one of their ladies to replace Kelly, but I think this is great. It will be interesting to see if his show at the 9pm hour will be structured the same as his current show.

I think what bmwcycle meant is that Hannity got booted from the 9pm hour and they gave it to Kelly. That was when Hannity moved to the 10pm slot.
But I don’t think Kelly got “booted” at all. She asked for $25 million, and Fox declined.
