"Left unsaid: What will happen to more than 20 million Americans now insured under the Affordable Care Act, or to the 27 percent of Americans with pre-existing medical conditions who, under the health care act, cannot be denied coverage by insurance companies?"
1. Most of them already had insurance they liked before... things will slowly begin reverting to the pre-ACA plan (though probably still not at the original rates, of course - Obama's legacy 'gift').
2. For those that didn't have coverage before, they will either (a) find that they may actually be able to afford coverage in the marketplace now, or (b) go without, which was their choice to begin with.
3. Allegedly, all of that 27% with pre-existing conditions now have coverage, so the concern troll question doesn't even apply.
What is also left unsaid is that the insurance of those people who have pre-conditions is being mostly paid for by the taxpayer.
Thanks for the rebuttals to the lefties whining memes, on repealing 0Care.
I’m tired of their ‘20 million now insured’ and ‘preexisting’ BS.
I do agree with the Dems on one thing, the medical insurance industry does need fixed in this country. It’s just that their solution was ridiculous. My question is why does medical insurance have to cover everything? What other insurance does this?
When you get car insurance, it does not cover your tuneups, tire replacement, inspections etc... It only kicks in when you have a large bill. Why can’t we have catastrophic health care insurance whereby if you go to the hospital or have to get multiple tests etc... your insurance covers it. If you are going for your yearly checkup, you pay for it. Seems to me, your health care costs would go down.
Also, in my plan now they cover sex change operations. I have no problems with people if they want to get a sex change. I’m a libertarian by nature. If that’s what you want, have at it. However, how is this preventative health care? I understand that one day I might get cancer and so I want health care that covers it. However, I know for a fact that I will not get a sex change, why am I forced to have a plan that covers that and drives up my rates?
