The future First Lady of the United States set the tone for a fashion-forward 2017 when she stepped out on New Years Eve in a seriously chic Dolce & Gabbana dress. Melania Trump wore the bow-front scoop-neck cocktail dress in one of her favorite colors trusty black.
... It has bows on each strap, which are embellished with jewels and a fitted silhouette that hits a few inches below the knee.... Trump accompanied by president-elect Donald Trump donned the dress to a party at Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach... She accessorized simply with a sparkly cuff bracelet and her hair flowing, unadorned..-snip-
... Stafano Gabbana proudly posted an image of the Melania in her NYE dress with the caption Melania Trump #DGwoman thank you #madeinitaly. The post garnered more than 12,000 likes and congratulatory comments including Congratulations , Stefano! You do wonderful clothes that we are proud to buy and put on!!!! No matter the religion, politic opinion or color of the skin. We love you, and Wonderful dress on a wonderful lady grande Stefano!, ...
... there are designers apart from Dolce & Gabbana who are game to dress Trump. Of course I would, was Calvin Kleins response when asked if hed consider designing for the future First Lady, according to Time.
Donald Trump was elected and he will be our president. Melania deserves the respect of any first lady before her. Our role as part of the fashion industry is to promote beauty, inclusiveness, diversity. We should each be the best we can be and influence by our example, Diane von Furstenberg declared. And Tommy Hilfiger chimed in, I think Melania is a very beautiful woman and I think any designer should be proud to dress her....

It’s nice to have the hottest first lady in the world again. What a polar opposite from Her Wookieeness!
Michelle’s first Inaugural dress looked like it was cut from a bedspread from a bad B&B.
Throw that dress on Mooch and it would be a mini.
don’t ever break the REALLY obvious rules again.
It is in the headline:
Melania Trump Rocked a Black Dolce Gabbana MiniDress for New Years Eve.
Granted, the headline is quite possibly not written by the author of the article.
It looked like a big black widow was laying on her all night.
MiniDress is in the title. There are more snarks in the article which I edited down to bring it down to 300 words.
These are mainly pertaining to the hoopla made over designers refusing to dress her. Seriously, as if a high fashion gorgeous model like Melania with the perfect figure would ever be caught dead wearing some of their gaudy designs worn by Mooche.
It would be nice if they would just REPORT WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN THE WORLD, without embellishment, fiction, hyperbole, editorialization or sensationalism! Just stick to REPORTING THE FACTS, and forget the claptrap about “changing society”, blahblahblah.... Their standing with the public just might improve!!!
a phrase that always grates on me, after hearing countless iterations of “Moochelle Obama ROCKED A (fill-in-the-blank, e.g. “orange horse blanket with matching green canvas boob belt”), specially cut to show off her svelte...uh...arms.
That black widow spider (X) with the entire family dressed in funeral black was the family’s tribute to Malcolm X.
Ever wonder who would dress two little girls is solid black for the greatest celebratory event in their lives? Celebrating the legacy of Malcolm X , that’s what the inauguration 2008 was all about.
Gotta agree with your commentary.
Draperies? They looked the seat covers on my 73 Dodge Dart.
(Slant 6 with three on the tree).
That's sexist! No even Steve Martin could get away with saying that!
Mini? It’s to her knees. That is not considered a min dress.
I did not know that . . . and it is not surprising at all.
LOL.......good one.
