President-elect Donald Trump is set to blow up the White House briefing room, ending the cozy relationship and practices of the past as he seizes on new ways to communicate with his nearly 45 million social media followers, according to incoming Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

"Business as usual is over," he said.

This is great. If any RINO had been elected, they would not even have questioned anything about the status quo, just more of the same letting the media control the narrative. The traitorous slimy MSM needs to learn its place.

No one needs a bunch of liberal propagandists lying to them every day.

“And typically paying for the privilege! The media-induced stupor that this nation has suffered is to me inexplicable in hindsight. Cut the cable, go to streaming. There are fine new widescreen tv monitors with software built in to work with Netflix, Hulu, Roku, et al. Be done with them. Let them die like the dinosaurs they are. Media Darwin Award time, after this past year, 2016. We now know what they are beyond a shadow of a doubt. Time to say a final farewell.”

We hosted our annual New Year’s Party last night with our long time conservative friends. We celebrated the New Year on EST. Our friends noticed our new Vizio smart tv, the roku box and the WIFi booster under the tv.

I told them that we are cutting the cable this month and just going to streaming non news programs.

Most of these friends are in their 70 to 80’s and have a fear of trying something new like that. However, they want to stop watching FAUX and ABCNNBCBS.

My non techie wife told them they don’t need any fancy gear to do that. They can just decide not to watch Faux, ABCNNBCBS and the NFL and make that a New Year’s resolution.

She told them, we stopped watching our local tv news after the election due to their constant Trump attacks and pushing the illegal agendas.

She suggested that they start today. Then, they can get a younger relative to help them cut the cable and teach them how stream, Roku and Sling.

We were surprised how stunned, these intelligent/conservative good friends were with my wife’s simple Nancy Reagan approach, “Don’t
watch Faux, ABCNNBCBS and the NFL!” No high tech training, skills or equipment needed.

$10/month Netflix.
$7/month CBS All-Access.
$7 KlowdTV for OANN news.

So, $24/month total.

We had Hulu for $8/month but didn’t find much on it we watched. Good service overall, just nothing we found interesting.

CBS has NFL (which we no longer care to watch), live CBS national channel, CBS News, and CBS past and present shows.

Local channels, we simply stream by going to their local web site. Many channels have live streaming now.

NBC and ABC also have streaming, but we watch nothing on those networks.

If Ruth Ginsburg had known that Hillary! would lose the election, I think she’d have retired over a year ago to allow her seat to be filled by Obama. She will not survive another four years, much less eight. Now, at 83, she is not a healthy woman. By 87 or 91??? I’m pretty sure Trump will replace her.

P.S. SlingTV (from Dish) is also available for $20/month basic lineup or $35/month for the better channel selections.

It is now available on Amazon Fire TV devices.

It gives many channels you might miss from cable.

I might try it. It has a 14 day free trial going on right now.

Also, these “channels” are not the channel surfing thing of cable. They are little apps that you click to start an then they present you with shows. It’s a different way of surfing or watching but I think most people will find it more interesting as there is simply many times the content available than on cable. Channel surfing is nearly impossible with that much content to selecting shows instead of channel flipping is more useful.

That is a blessing, now if we as a nation can begin to shrink federal government, this grand experiment might just continue...

Just say NO!

Worked for us. I figured, first cut cable then everything else will simply fall into place, and it has.

I am fine with the content we have and the price we now pay ($24/month).

People hopefully realize that Republican/Democrate is no longer a valid choice. If we would have voted true Republican then we would have ended up with Bush or Kashik. Trump is not a Republican. He is a Common Sense Conservative! We are already reaping the benefits of this new ideology. And by the time he is done, there will be no democrate party as it exists today.

must bring in open-minded people

They need to start with folks who are committed to reporting all the relevant facts. #fakenews shouldn't originate from the White House press pool.

“The Press” as it existed in the days when the Constitution was crafted existed not only of newspapers, but phamphletters as well. That would be the equivalent of today’s bloggers. It was never confined to just “journalists”. What has evolved as today’s protected class could never survive in those free wheeling days.

They should have a lottery for each presser - a hundred ping pong ball in a hopper and let the press folks pick one each - first twenty get in. Make them the joke that they are...

What's more, the spokesman said that Trump is working toward an eight-year plan, one of the first indications that the president-elect is eyeing reelection with his initial moves. Trump's first order of business needs to be to fill every federal judge vacancy. This might seem boring, but every left wing legal group is going to sue him for everything he does, so when things get tied up in court, he needs to have the judges on his side.
