Grifters never change. I always screened the HELL out of my tenants. Of course my properties were in inner city Rochester NY, a totally militantly pro “low income” tenant city. The best I could hope for was a tenant without a felony record.
Mine was in a neighborhood of Boston that was “Changing”. This made it very difficult to screen tenants and not be accused of “discrimination”.
I always thought it was unfair because I had to live in the same house with people whom I thought could be “undesirable”.
