Yep...He will, I believe, clean the top and let the frustrated officers at the mid level take things back to a strengthened military...
A large percentage of the soldiers and sailors and airmen should be given immediate Honorable Discharge from E-1 to 4 stars. No more queers and men who want to be women and vice versa, no more women in inappropriate roles. There is room for women and queers in certain fields but they would have to be walled off from the rest of the military, and that is things like remote drone operators. Women should be welcome in traditional fields such as were extant in, say, 1960.
Agree....
Didn’t this same thing happen in December 2014 or 15?
Not good, not good at all.

If they can be deployed to help in Afghanistan (and they have been) they can be deployed to help cover the border.
It’s hard not to think along those lines isn’t it.
Can’t wait for 01/20/2017 12:00...
If there was a Consensus in the House and the Senate that Obama was becoming a national security threat, he could be removed in days.
Even some hard liner Democrats are getting nervous.
A friend's son is an officer on The Mason. He told us about this a couple of weeks ago.
I was in San Diego in July 2015 and there were three carriers parked there that week. Of course, not including the Midway museum. I thought it a bit strange for three super carriers to be in port at the same time but then again I’m not a Navy guy.
No idea if it has any Harriers deployed on it right now.
There are nine ships in total including the new line starting with the USS America (LHA-6).
Are you saying that only the USS Makin Island is at sea right now?
Learn from past mistakes. The Naval Bases in Norfolk and NAS Oceana when they were built were in the sticks. They {military planners and congress who must authorize purchases of land} didn't allow for urban sprawl when they purchased the land for the bases in Norfolk and there are several. We do need to get two carriers at Norfolk home ported elsewhere. I'm not sure about a CVN but Mayport used to have a carrier pier that a conventional maybe two home ported out of. As a matter of fact when I got out of the Navy orders were coming down for America to move to Mayport. Obviously they got rescinded and Pier 11 was built.
When I-64 into Norfolk was completed it put a tunnel between Hampton and Oceanview a community in Norfolk. That was done in the late 60's early 70's I'm not certain but you can clearly see the carriers from I-64.
Savannah is a Submarine Base likely not deep enough or wide enough. They need to build a port outside of metro areas. NYC actually used to have a carrier building capable shipyard. They built the Kitty Hawk CV 63. That was the last carrier not to be built in Newport News. Newport News is now our only carrier builder. It's across the river more or less from NOB Norfolk. Puerto Rico at one time would have been ideal especially since we had a NAS there. A carrier requires more than 50 plus feet minimal depth at low tide because the draft is 36'. You want lots of water between the ship and the bottom so undesired crud is not sucked into its seawater intakes. It takes a deep water port.
Now looking closer at the pictures I seen more that would not have been allowed when I was in. Look on the flight decks of the carriers. It looks like Portsmouth yards. These ships "ARE NOT" ready for underway operations and therefore they should not be sitting at NOB. I've seen storms cross through there that tore every ship but is on the protected side of Pier 12 and put them out in the river channel. They are in a shipyard readiness posture. The yards were more secure as to what could pass by them. It's getting real sloppy in what is being allowed now.
Thanks for the info.
I hope we have much better things nowadays.
We can only hope, but after 8 years of Obama I doubt it.
Just one small 5kt tactical nuke could take them all out in Norfolk.
ALL of them, but the Russians would probably not be so gentle.
I suspect several megatons in many missiles to overkill it, IMHO.
