It started out like any other Uber transaction.
Keith Avila, a photographer who also drives for the ridesharing company, picked up two women and a girl at a home in Sacramento, California. As they got into the car, Avila noticed the girl looked young. *snip*
I was 100 percent sure I knew what was happening, Avila tells PEOPLE. It wasnt 99.999 percent. It was 100 percent. And I knew I had to do something, but I didnt know exactly how I was going to do it. I wondered if I should take pictures with my phone.

Well, with the quotes in article, I’d say everyone in the world would know.
What?!! A California guy interfered with this “pre-woman’s” free choices?! I hope N.O.W. is on top of this!
Similar to the story in “Taxi Driver”, except it was Uber and there wasn’t the violent bloodbath when DeNiro rescued Jodie Foster.
Life imitating art, sort of.
HOORAY Keith Avila
Keith Avila’s a true hero.
He is a FB friend of mine. Proud to say.
12 year old dressed like hooker
Older women coaching her about getting money how to look for weapons and how to hug client
going to a hotel
Another women making sure law enforcement isn’t present
YEAH - I’d say that’s a pretty good “hunch” of what’s happening.
Clearly he doesn’t work for ACORN or Planned Parenthood.
They’ve been conned by undercover filmmakers pretending to be pimps and human traffickers with a nod and a wink approving of their business.
There’s been some misleading articles about CA changing the law so girls like this 16yo aren’t considered criminals but victims. This is exactly why.
This guy is a hero.
Washington Post and NBC would say that is a conspiracy theory and an unproven allegation...
Good for him.
WaPo and NBC would instead point out it is now perfectly legal behavior in California.
Disney Vang?
Hope the driver is never charged for his involvement in delivering them to the hotel.
If it were a robbery or a drive-by shooting, he’d be considered a co-conspirator. It is not uncommon for the driver in such cases to face stricter sentencing than the shooting/robber (when they plea bargain in exchange for testify against the others).
Project Veritas brought an undercover woman posing as an underage girl to a PP clinic and told them she worked in the sex industry, but she was underage and needed an abortion. They were more than willing to help her get one without asking questions.
It tells you a lot when you read how open these women were about what they were doing -- they thought nothing of it, didn't think it was risky to talk openly about it in front of the driver.
Part of the liberal culture of California, where prostitution, though illegal, is viewed as another "lifestyle choice" and these women are just mentors for a girl going into the business.
I always thought Sublime’s “The Wrong Way” was a music version of Taxi Driver.
Also, and this is key, he's the one who called the cops. The article says the cops thanked him for alerting them.
Given this I really don't understand your comment at all.
Because diversity!!!
Criminals whose upbringing included this way of life as a means of making money are being forced upon Americns who will pay for them to be here.
