A 22-year-old member of the Kennedy family arrested after a bar fight early Thursday was defending a gay friend who was being bullied, his father said.
"Conor has always reacted against bullying," said Robert Kennedy Jr. "I'm happy he stood up for his friend."
John Conor Kennedy - who goes by Conor - had asked a group of four men to apologize to his friend for calling him a common homophobic slur an hour before the fight erupted at about 1:40 a.m. outside the Bootsy Bellows nightclub, Robert Kennedy said.

Conor Kennedy’s gay friend, Robert Kennedy said, terming the incident "menacing." ... "I'm very sorry it turned into a police incident," he said. "(Conor's) not liking the attention."

Robert Kennedy said his son was out with a group of friends while in Aspen for the Christmas holidays. He said he regretted Aspen police having to get involved in the incident because of the way officers treated the Kennedy family when his brother, Michael Kennedy, died Dec. 31, 1997, on Aspen Mountain after skiing into a tree.

Thats actually not quite how the cop saw it. The guy was taken from behind by Kennedy. Knocked over and slugged 5 times in the back of the head. The cops saw it. Then the cops had a hard time getting control of Kennedy. He resisted arrest.
I am sure Kennedy lawyers will make the cop go away. And if the other guy does not sue it will all go away. If he does sue, he should make sure he gets the video from outside the club. I am sure its there. The video should back up the cops report.
Is that place a “Gay Bar” ?
It’s early and the Kennedy’s got their story out quickly. And in included the current hot button issue of “ bullying”.
I think I’d like to hear the other side before concluding the Kennedy kid is just an awesome guy.

William Kennedy Smith is the one that was up on rape charges years ago, and the trial was televised. That guy should be embarrassed, if you saw the trial. It was weird when he talked about his “ejaculation.”

There are plenty of them used by people who discern homosexuality as a criminally deviant behavior spawned by unchecked sexually degenerate thinking. It's also a type of behavior exhibited by many who have rejected God's Provision and call, rejecting eternal forgiveness.

This was a very brutal suicide, the father Robert was cheating on the mother of his 4 children and hounding her for a divorce so he could marry a sitcom star, Cheryl somebody. Robert refused to allow Mary Richardson’s family to view her body and gave little access to them after her death. It was certainly devastating for these kids, Conor would have been 18 years old. A little compassion for Conor would be decent. Google it, it is a very sad story.
