The Obama administration struck back at Russia... for its efforts to influence the 2016 election, ejecting 35 Russian intelligence operatives from the United States and imposing sanctions on Russia’s two leading intelligence services, including four top officers of the military intelligence unit the White House believes ordered the attacks on the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations.
In a sweeping set of announcements, the United States was also expected to release evidence linking the cyberattacks to computer systems used by Russian intelligence. Taken together, the actions would amount to the strongest American response ever taken to a state-sponsored cyberattack aimed at the United States.
The sanctions were also intended to box in President-elect Trump. Mr. Trump has consistently cast doubt that the Russian government had anything to do with the hacking of the D.N.C. or other political institutions, saying American intelligence agencies could not be trusted and suggesting that the hacking could have been the work of a “400-pound guy” lying in his bed.
Mr. Trump will now have to decide whether to lift the sanctions on the Russian intelligence agencies when he takes office next month, with Republicans in Congress among those calling for a public investigation into Russia’s actions. Should Mr. Trump do so, it would require him to effectively reject the findings of his intelligence agencies.
Asked... at his Mar-a-Lago estate ... about reports of the impending sanctions, Mr. Trump said: “I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind, the security we need.”

Does the USA hack Russian government emails? You bet your last dollar they do.
Does the USA try to influence other governments internationally? That’s what the CIA does. Our government certainly tried to influence the government in Syria, Libya, Israel, etc.

Democrats hacked the election the entire time Trump was campaigning, the press overwhelmingly bashed him a 1000 times over Hillary, constantly tagging him as racist, antisemitic (even though his daughter, son in law and grandkids are Jewish), and also tagged him as sexist. Which reminds me - what ever happened to all those women who accused Trump of sexual assault? They came out of nowhere a month before the election and promptly disappeared. A BILLIONAIRE sexually assaults them, and NONE of them ever thought of suing him? A BILLIONAIRE? ALL of them are frauds, liars who were hired by Hillary to get back at Trump for bringing up Bills sexual assaults. If that isn’t election tampering I don’t know what is. These people are absolute scum of the earth and enemies of the USA. Obamas entire 8 years in office, ALL he did was empower, defend and help spread radical Islam while kicking the legs out from the USA and our allies on every single level.

Several sitting members of congress, including republicans, have already said it happened, Russia was involved and called for congressional investigations.
Given the fact that PE Trump himself stated, and I have seen many on this site claim it as well, that there was massive voter fraud compounded by what appears to be a very credible possibility that foreign governments potentially intervened in our elections there MUST BE a FULL and COMPLETE bi-partisan investigation of the election.
There needs to be a special committee appointed and a through forensic review of all of the evidence of voter fraud and foreign interference.
Like Bernie supporters and Republicans did not know the DNC was corrupt before wikileaks. Really. Made no difference. None.

There is Zero evidence that voting machines were hacked- there is NO need for an investigation until such evidence is presented- and it’s funny that now all of a sudden everyone is so concerned with voting machine hacking and fraudulent voting when there has been evidence in the past that dead people and illegals were voting and NOTHING was done about it- Bu by golly- without a shred of evidence, ‘election integrity’ is all of a sudden priority number one-
