TFL works quite well. You will have to pay for Medicare Part B. That’s around $120 per month. The combination of Medicare and TFL works well. In return, TFL will pickup all that Medicare won’t pay (co-pays, deductables, etc.).
TRL will sometimes pay for things Medicare won’t pay for. A friend had cancer and the treating physician recommended robotic surgery. Medicare said no, regular surgery. TFL paid for the robot, 100%.
For example, I injured my hand and had to have all four tendons reattached. I also had four months of therapy. Some hand movements aren’t perfect but I can touch type so I’m pleased. My total cost for all of this was zero.
I started getting all these ads for medicare supplemental insurance when I turned 65. One was from Humana who administers Tricare in this area. When I told them I had Tricare, the person said: “I can sell you a supplemental policy but with TFL, you have the best one available and it’s free.”
Thanks for the gouge! We tend to fear the unfamiliar....
+1 on the “Medicare + TFL” route. My wife, not using Medicare yet, is still covered by Tricare and a third-party supplement that picks up the delta.
Very grateful for the info. Can I use ya to bounce questions for me if I have more questions in the future ?
