No victim, no crime. IMO.

Cops going onto adult websites where the terms of service are you have to be 18, then lure men in that were already on there talking about sex, then arrest the men. So easy to be a detective these days. Just make criminals.

Totally unconstitutional.

If they want to catch real guilty men they need to be going onto chat rooms that are meant for kids, social sites for kids, and other areas of the internet that are kids. Find the actual pedophiles that are actively seeking sex with kids.

Exactly. It’s more than a little disturbing that we are paying adult cops to pretend they are underage girls and send pictures of “themselves.” But most will be far too morally outraged by the situation to admit that. It’s a bad enough crime that you can to jail for it, even if you didn’t commit it.

So if thinking the adult is a minor makes it a crime, does thinking the mimor is an adult make it not a crime?

How is this different then someone hiring an under cover cop to do "hit". Again no victim but there certainly was a crime. Lots of times the cop stop a criminal before he/she commits the crime. This guy clearly intended to commit at least two crime. Sex with a minor and soliciting prostitution.
