Brooklyn Rouse had been delivering pizzas for Papa Johns for exactly two weeks when she was shot in the head on the day after Christmas.
Monday evening, 21-year-old Rouse was on her way to Macons Bloomfield neighborhood with two pizzas. Just five days before, her 23-year-old co-worker, Duncan Siror, had been shot in the shoulder while delivering a pizza to an address just a mile and a half north of where she was headed.

Every town is a little different. My son made pretty good money delivering pizza during football season and when the college kids were in town from September to June. Summer was slack time as the students left for 3 months. We're fortunate to have very few "bad" parts of town. My wife knows the spots well as a police dispatcher. The frequent flyers and their bad habits are almost worthy of a bookmark in the law enforcement dispatch software.

I used to work 2nd shift at the Meriden Rolling Mills and can attest to the danger of walking around at night in that area, it has not gotten better over the years either.

“Draw a big red line around the area and declare it too dangerous to serve. Want a pizza? Come to our bullet proof window and order. We’ll slide it out the security drawer so our employees don’t get shot.”
That is what Dominoes does in my hood.
You want a pizza, come and get it.
