This is an opinion piece but the war against the constitution (like the Bible) won't end until the Messiah returns. Gear UP!

What happens when the racist right-wing Republican wins those 270 electoral votes in the compact? Will he be awarded them, or do they go to the losing Rat candidate.

They’re not going to be able to do anything about it with Trump as president and the GOP controlling most of the states.

Just like the OIC...It will be disbanded when it helps the opposition.

It would take a Constitutional Amendment to get rid of the electoral college. Ain’t happening on Trump’s watch.

A surprising number of so-called red states have signed onto this thing.

Does anything good come out of Harvard anymore? Has anything good in the last 50 years?

American elections would be sooo much more fair and Democratic if California and New York got to pick our Presidents...forever.

The last compact of states defying the constitution did not turn out well for those states

The left will have to eliminate the electoral college so long as voter fraud flourishes only in isolated pockets of depravity like New York and California.

Too bad so sad for them.

With Trump appointing originalists (I hope) into the SCOTUS, they are in for a hell of a problem changing it. They can whine all they want.

That is what this election was all about in my mind. The SCOTUS.

I have explained the representational nature of the EC to people until I am blue in the face. Some just don’t get the fact that it is feature of a republican form of government—not a direct democracy — which was created by the framers of the Constitution to avoid anarchy. Taking out the bricks of republicanism will succeed in achieving what the framers feared.

The electoral college is just one of the measures the Founding Fathers took to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority (see the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment for example).

Since the Left claims to be the champions of the minority, they should understand and embrace it.

I don't think it's 11 states. I count 10 states + DC and only 3 (+DC) of them still have Democrat legislative trifectas so the rest wouldn't be able to pass it today.

It has a long way to go before even all the Blue States pass it. I don't see this going into effect during my lifetime.

The war on the Constitution will always be there - we happen to have the best army in place for now.

As relentless as the Left is, we will hand it all back to them if we don't remain ever vigilant and relentless to counteract them. Our side tends to get lazy and afraid of getting down in the trenches which is why the Left has been allowed to do so much damage.

Proof that Zero/HRC were 100% confident in their vote-fraud machine, they wouldn’t have let the Merrick Garland thing slide, they really did expect her to be appointing him Jan 21.

Every day is more evidence they were truly surprised by the loss, and reason to bound out of bed to read them!

I still have a hard time believing NOBODY in the RAT party could detect their impending doom. Certainly Carville was wise to what was about to happen.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Five_of_the_United_States_Constitution

“Article Five of the United States Constitution describes the process whereby the Constitution, the nation’s frame of government, may be altered. Altering the Constitution consists of proposing an amendment or amendments and subsequent ratification. Amendments may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a convention of states called for by two-thirds of the state legislatures.[1] To become part of the Constitution, an amendment must be ratified by either—as determined by Congress—the legislatures of three-quarters of the states or state ratifying conventions in three-quarters of the states.[2] The vote of each state (to either ratify or reject a proposed amendment) carries equal weight, regardless of a state’s population or length of time in the Union”

Let me know when you believe Wyoming, etc. will decide to give up their power, in favor of New York etc.

The NPVC has already been supported by most Blue States. None of the Red States will support it, especially after this election. The Republican-controlled Congress would never vote for it. The argument that this is not a compact is hilarious considering that word is used in the name of the proposed agreement.

The Electoral College will not be abolished, whether de facto by the NPVC or officially by Constitutional amendment. Get over it Liberals, you lost. We will not let you rig the rules for 2020, like you did the Democratic Party nomination process this year.

It’s ended - liberals don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell to change the electoral college. No one is going to vote to give all the power to California and New York... it’s just not gonna happen.
