As I read your sentence, I thought you were going to say:
I think people need to pass a drug test, background check, go thru intensified hands on training with objectively scored qualification, and be required to obtain a permit from the government at a fee in order to exercise their 1st amendment right AND BE QUALIFIED TO READ THE GARBAGE AT NATIONAL REVIEW.
Receiving vaccination injections would be helpful as well.
“”Uday and Qusay are genuinely bad human beings””
The author needs a brush up on history, doesn’t he? Or English composition lessons - difference between ARE and WERE - PAST tense and PRESENT tense. Is he repeating the second grade?
Richard Fernandez (Belmont Club) on PJ Media is still the best:

Quote:
“My own view is that Donald and Ivanka and Uday and Qusay are genuinely bad human beings and that the American public has made a grave error in entrusting its highest office to this cast of American Psycho extras. That a major political party was captured by these cretins suggests that its members are not worthy of the blessings of this republic ...”
If true, this is outrageous. Williamson needs his sorry ass kicked up between his shoulder blades. He is a disgrace and persona non grata in whatever is left of the so-called “conservative movement.”
Kevin Williamson is worshipped by none other than the Idiot Bush Princess, Dana PeRino.
And to think Rush Limbaugh brags about calling his good buddy Rich Lowery for verifications on Buckley all the time
He did it just last week over the notion Buckley regretted the Vidal debate list of all
True btw
I can’t stand the establishment anymore
National Review is a band of quisling bastards that deserve no consideration.
Instead of adding restrictions to our rights, which would most likely aimed at conservatives, we should work to remove the restrictions on the second amendment.
This is an opinion piece not news isn’t it?
This is an opinion piece not news. We need to remove restrictions on our second amendment rights instead of adding restrictions to our other rights. How about going after the restrictions on Christian bakers exercising their religious rights? We need to fix that too.
The gang at NR swallowed a bitter pill this year. They fancied themselves to be influential leaders but ran right into a legion of people that they believed they led, but the people had grown tired of their act.
They grabbed into the “principled conservative” shield like holding up a crucifix and a fistful of garlic to a vampire, but the people grew impatient. We knew that after almost three decades of shilling for guys named Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney that there wasn’t much evidence that they were principled or conservative.
I think they’re still shell shocked. Enough people wised up. It’s a good thing.
It was ‘edgy’ at first now it's dreadfully boring. These folks need to find a new line of work until Jeb runs again in eight years - if ever.
National Review, its editors and the author of this piece of garbage should be sued to the hilt for the deliberate defamation of a MINOR! There are laws applicable to such an atrocity.
If this guy wants to destroy himself fine, but he’s taking NR with him.
I am going to try to be more tolerant in 2017. So, I’m going to have to stop reading crap like this that is written by idiots. Okay, I’m going to start over.
“National Review died with Buckley.”
more like Buckley killed NR.
It wasn’t just that the once excellent writers at NR aged and retired. Buckley selected the fools that he left in charge of the magazine, and he played a role in driving off what remained of the old guard.
I first subscribed in 1976 and once read it cover to cover. For me it ceased being worth reading during GHW Bush.
no one would buy it.
I would guess that this latest Williamson piece has caused some consternation at NR central. I think they have enough decency to see it as crossing a line.
“Hard to believe that a magazine that once featured intellectual giants like Kirk and Burnham now publishes pap from mental midgets like Williams, Goldberg, and Shapiro.”
worth repeating
Who finances the National Review’’ now? Buckley, like Reagan, had ungrateful children.
